​Fading or chalking is a common problem in Texas. We receive quite a bit of sun, and UV rays break down the resin in paint. Resin is the primary component in paint that protects your home, and pigment gives it the color. When your house starts to fade, this is an indication that the resin has broken down in the paint, and your paint is no longer granting your home adequate protection. When this is allowed to happen, moisture will seep into your siding and lead to warped boards - at this point you're looking at a re-build versus a re-paint. We recommend a full power wash to clean off any dust and residue from the chalking. Painters will sometimes skip power washing, and sadly, this simple step alone can cut the age of your paint job in half!

In order to properly prepare your home’s exterior, any loose paint is scraped, sanded and any gaps are caulked to prevent water intrusion.
